Inspired by the PS2 game with the same title, this ‘musical shooter’ is great fun for all. If you are eyeballing the M3 DS Real + Rumble Ram pack, then dont.
You will have to tweak your system and read up on some guides to get the images, music and especially the videos to work properly. I will attach a guide to this instructable about optimising multilmedia in the future. These are in a constant state of revision and some work better than others. Here I list the ones that work the best, and mention others that are still under development for completion.
just had to say since every time you say the word flashcarts a red line show up under it. But you must not have seen it all the times it showed up. A great way to get started, if you just want to see what kind of things are available is to look through some YouTube videos of people demonstrating their kits. If you find any cool stuff that fit in this category, then please feel free to post a comment. You should place some images and music in there for testing purposes.
Beware when purchasing microSD cards, make sure to note whether they’re SDHC or standard SD, because not all flash carts work with SDHC (4gb+). Slot 2 Flash Carts are GBA cartridges that have Removable Storage inputs, such as micro or miniSD . But if you boot it from the main DS menu, it will boot as a GBA game. So you need a PassKey, which makes your DS think it’s a DS game but really just boots from the GBA Cartridge.
You need to have your SD card and a DS card where custom firmware is installed. Initially, developers had to program for specific Flash Cards, but after the invention of DLDI, developers program for one and you can DLDI patch it for almost any card. So most homebrew you need to patch with DLDI, which is easily done with Chism’s DLDI Patcher .
I recommend trying both emulators to see which one is the best experience for you. Minus possibly of such details then you can certainly always download them from the World wide web. Open the link to the past rom emulator download “3DS-CFW users” folder and you’ll find a few files there. Choose the first two files and copy them to your SD card.
If you have an R4, M3 or other Slot 1 cards, the executable you want to run is .nds. It can do more, and it can be activated through DS Homebrew. This Part by Part guide will help you learn about what is Homebrew, how to run it, where to buy items, recommended downloads and more. The term "Flash-Cart" was left over from GBA accessories which accepted a game CART you would FLASH and hack. just so you know dude they are not called flashcarts, they are called flashcards.
Populating The Dstwo With Emulators

Remember that these are developped by gifted individuals on their spare time so, results vary. Most homebrew applications out there you will have no use for. There’s a lot of tech demos from people playing with the compiler and there are also some very nice and intricate programs that you just wont use with any given frequency to justify keeping them on your DS. So I have compliled a list of Homebrew applications that you will most probably use or like to have on your DS here. If you have specific needs or interests please look through some review sites for stuff you like.
